Stay out of my Bedroom and ill stay out of yours.

March 28, 2007

I really don’t like to discuss about much about porn. If you like looking it is your own choice. but for me, I look at is as a new drug where people can drowned in it and loose a sense of self worth. I find the more people look at porn the less likely they will respect the ones they are with. They will never feel satisfied with there partnerst and that partner will feel inadequate as they are being compared to next magazine cover.

Preference of sexuality is everyones choice. You define who you love and if you are happy, Most people partner up for that companion ship. but please keep it a home. I was at a concert last night and the two in front where going at constantly.  everything from hugs to nibbles. it was too much and finally people around us asked them to cool it until they got home.

Finally for those that brag about your conquest, grow up. Nobody likes to hear your half truth stories of how main people you have screwed and don’t ask me to share either.

Advertising! the good the bad the ugly

March 21, 2007

Growing up we never had cable TV and i never spent much time reading magazines. I was mostly out camping or doing something that was more physically engaging. Then junior high hit and wham like a shot gun slug i was part of this world that revolved around what you were wering and how you talked. Items like lock up pants and the first season of friends, but the things brand that stood out the most was NO FEAR. Each kid had a least one shirt and on the back was a clever saying that really didnt make any sense but we still laughed.

I can understand the impacted t the advertising has on younger people. My nephew is 4 and if i draw an M he automatically thinks Macdonald’s. He is completely rapped up in it. item like motorbike and cars are cool and the brand fox it the only safe equiptment thta

Then junior high hit and wham like a shot gun slug i was part of this world that revolved around company provided style. What you were wearing and how you talked seemed to come in a can. but the brands that stood out the most was NO FEAR. Each kid had a least one shirt and on the back was a clever saying that really didnt make any sense but we still laughed. We were young and the shirts were ugly

I can understand the impacted that advertising has on younger people. My nephew is 4 and if I draw an M shape he automatically thinks Macdonald’s. He is completely rapped up in it., item like motorbike and cars are cool and the brand fox it the only safe equipment to use according to him. But to be honest I don’t think it is him that is exposing him self to these messages. I believe his mother leads the pack with her crappy MTV style. Oh well just stay away from my kid.

Video Games

March 21, 2007

As a mass communication device i think video game are going to be playing a big role in th future. there are a way for people to have same form of confidence with out the worries. What do i mean by worries, like talking in front a person you are attracted too, no not being worried about bad breath. Video game are like instant messaging in a way. They remove some of those social boundry and restrictions. Are they a replacement for physical social activity? No. but i believe they could help start someone to being more social. for example some people enjoy playing sport game and there has been gatherings based on the fact that people enjoying play those against others.

I also believe that games will be the foundation of the hybrid movie slash game experience were two or more medias combine to create this all new and immersing experience. This new type of experience isnt that far away, with advancement and technology we are entering a whole new area of visuals effect and realism in real time, games will never go away the will only grow and grow till they take over the world because they are hunkidory

House of Unity… the good old days

March 7, 2007

i was only about 14 and my old brother took me to see a Rave in Calgary.  He took me because i had been listening to tech for  over a year and trying to find new music in Lethbridge was impossible.  My bro and friends had been listening to techno for quite some time, there were making there own music and throwing house parties. but the music was always the  same. Back to the rave,  it started off at LCI taking a bus to calgary, the local community was there all supporting each other if you will. But the thing that i remember the most was the engery when we arrived. I was pretty intense, the reason i bring this up is because the ive been to other concert setting and nothing was quite like it. the music was raw and untouched. the sound were rough and unknown. Plus ever one interpreted the live mixing of music so differently.

Sinse those time the music has changed. no more Delta9 or Lenny D.  but hello Modana. what happen were did are the good music go. It gone, and replaced with music that will be sold to 11 teen year olds. those kids that cant decide if there a child or adult. Its horrible pretty soon they will be marketing to 4 and 5 years old on the radio. and the worst part is that its not going to be Fred Penner it will be Jay-z and snoop dog. Any way you look at it the music is being controlled and the you might like it being pushed away for the stuff they want you to like.
